Thanks, Karen. One never knows how this type of image will go over. I enjoy seeing things that I haven't seen a million times so it is fun to experiment. When I see the PSA exhibition acceptances, I keep seeing similar images. We have all heard not to copy others but it is always a temptation. |

I like the circular lines here and the reflections which add interest to the background. There are some spots which detract--was that your coffee?. I removed some of the reflection from the edges and some of the spots I thought were distracting. Good seeing. |

I love this one! We just had a program on painting with light and it is something I want to try. I did years ago with swinging lights on slide film! I just had to play a bit and added a smaller version so see what it would look like. Images like this are fun to experiment with. |

The Palouse is great and it is nice to see it in a different season. However, I noticed the spots right away (while usually missing the ones in my images!) I just heard a podcast about shooting in cold weather (check for Tripod: The Nature Photography Show episode 43. It is an interesting series and I recommend it to all.) They mentioned not letting drops freeze on lenses which could be easy to do in cold weather. I think this lacks contrast and I got carried away in processing it. |

I think the harsh lighting made for very difficult shooting and there is too much here. The log is really what is interesting and just shooting the end with the mushrooms would have made a better image. I tried various ways of darkening the highlights and sometimes they turned purple! I tried Topaz Adjust using the highlight recovery preset and that did as well as anything. I also tried CEP using the darken/lighten center preset which helped a bit. I also cropped. There were too many bright spots to clone out. My Nikon barely gets any use these days so good for you getting yours out. |

It looks as if I have to go to Stuart, FL, wherever it is. I love pelicans and watching them dive. You got a good catch in flight and that is not easy to do. I agree with Karen ab out the eye and I tried to lighten it a bit. I selected the bird and then darkened the background to put more emphasis on the pelican. I then got carried away and over processed it in Color Efex Pro! |

Beautiful! The lines of the dress form a nice diagonal and the trail of light behind the man adds to the composition nicely. I would not change a thing either. |
