Hi Jackie - Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I believe that Topaz Sharpen AI, while having a great reputation, was discontinued and is no longer available for new, standalone purchase. The successor was fairly new the last time I checked (and a more expensive subscription); I was reluctant to move forward until it had been time tested some. I haven't researched further since then and honestly, it's been a while, so a good reminder to do so. Happy to have you in DD Group 14 - Welcome!

Hi Kamal - Another image to add to your mounting number of aerial fishing images! I like how you've caught the attention of the fisherman and the composition - specifically your placement of the focal point - the boat - within the frame. I like that the nets are fanning back into the image from there and draw my eye back to the boat. The only concern is that those nice water highlights overshadow the center net - I wish there was a bit more contrast there. Otherwise, your capture of Jamuna River 117 is lovely. |

Hi Tom - A signature Tom update, transforming a decently good original into an image that has more interest, color and a totally different mood. I think that the brightest whites in the sky could be toned down some and still hold the contrast that makes this image. The darkest part of the water might be lightened a bit to show a touch of detail and depth as well. The color saturation on your main subject makes this image. Nicely done - |

Hi Karen - A beautiful bird portrait. I agree with others, you did a good job in post - the colors are properly highlighted by the texture of those magnificent feathers and you've effectively captured and emphasized the eye. The composition is appropriately close-up, and the background is neutral, not competing with the bird. Well done - |

Hi Greg - Thanks for your observations. I agree, the water droplet was a nice catch. I was surprised though, that for all the rain, that this one droplet was the only water remaining. |

Hi Kamal - Thanks for the feedback. I see what you are referring to in some of the stamen and the bud on the left. Fooey! It's funny how much time you spend looking at and processing an image and what escapes you. I tamped down the texture just a bit to soften the look of the flowers which may contribute to the lack of sharpness? Maybe/maybe not . . . I'll have to look back at the original. |

Hi Greg - WOW! You have done a beautiful job capturing this shore bird in its environment. The light is exquisite - which makes this image. Your attention to composition, the color balance, capture of this subject's eye, overall composition and bringing out the texture of the plover's feathers add to an already lovely image. I have no suggestions - well done! |

Hi Ingrid - Silhouettes seem to be a thing right now - they've been showing up quite a bit in photography I am seeing - just recently in a photo webinar on Vietnam by Jeff Swinger who is exceptional at using silhouettes in his photography. I like your choices - converting to B&W and the contrast in the sky beautifully sets off those pines. I do see fragments of red and green throughout your image and wonder if that was intentional or remnants of a process in post? A nit would be removing the dead branches hanging straight down in the upper left. I do like how you've framed the image with trees creating some depth, resulting in a nice composition. Thanks for sharing. |
