Hi Karen - Your the second to mention the buds front and center. I hadn't really considered eliminating them . . . perhaps the botanical artist part of me thought they belonged. I'll take a fresh look at the image and those buds. I appreciate your sharing your thinking - |

Hi Kamal - I am sure I am over-simplifying the the great pride and reverence this memorial holds for Bangladesh. If so, I do apologize. What I understand is that the memorial (one of several?) pays homage to those who lost their lives in their quest for recognition of an official language which ultimately resulted in the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan and an international UNESCO resolution celebrating International Mother Language Day.
The memorial is beautiful, owing to the color balance created by the surrounding vegetation, the individual memorials and those many commemorative items left behind. I consider this street photography and as such wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing and helping me understand a bit of your country's history. |

Hi Erin - Interesting image - gotta love old farmsteads and that old windmill is the draw. I agree with everyone about the power lines and I would also remove most vertical power poles and the transmission tower peeking over the house. It is just so easy to do these days! I like the foreground grasses. I also agree with your placement of the sky although the sky has a more to offer. I agree with Greg that this image has a lot of possibilities. Should you have the time, it's worth playing with a bit more. A great composition with a fine painting sort of appeal. Good eye! |

Hi Tom - It is amazing what can be photographed from one's own backyard. I enjoy your experimentation and what an effective use of your property's lighting to create this image. The sky replacement certainly works at eliminating all but your subject. No suggestions. Well done! |

Hi Greg - A great shot made even better by your choices in post. I particularly like altering the background to monochrome - it's subtle, yet quite effective in placing attention on your main subjects. I assume your cowboy is a rodeo clown so your use of Dynamic Auto Painter works well. I do think the effect is a bit harsh though, especially on the bull - it's a personal preference though as is really doesn't detract or distract from the overall presentation. Nicely done! |

Hi Karen - My first thought is, what a lovely composition. My second thought was that my colleagues commenting before me all make good points. A nice serene fall capture. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Ingrid - You did a lot of good work on this image in post. I particularly like the sky you chose. The changes you implemented per Greg's suggestion made a difference. I'm not a fan of the lightening up of the lower corners although that's more of a personal preference. There is lovely color harmony and aging in the barns - great subject choice and a nice addition to your calendar. |

Hi Tom - Great suggestions. See new and improved version. Implemented your suggestions. If I had more time, I would have fiddled with the bright spot on the right and the background flower upper middle as changes have brought them out more. Thoughts? |
