14 Jul 25 Reply Hi Ingrid - Go figure . . . I did not see that flowerless stem until you pointed it out. The larger sunflowers last so I assume this variety of sunflower would last as a cut stem. I'll have to try it out. Jul 31st
14 Jul 25 Reply Hi Karen - Thanks for your observations! I'm glad you got to see a bit of Colorado on your visit! Jul 31st
14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Greg - The contrast in colors make this image. The depth and separation of the background from the main subject is well done. The image is tack sharp, nicely composed and you've captured the iguana in a brilliant pose. No suggestions - impressive capture!

Question - How far were you away from your subject and what lens did you use? Thanks -

14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Ingrid - What a wonderful story your image tells! This little duckling's personality is captured in its body language. The sharpness of the duckling's head, eye and the fish as well as the ripples in the water direct my focus to the key elements in the photograph. I agree that the crop works and your efforts in post were successfully implemented. I have no suggestions. Well captured! Jul 17th
14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Karen - Your description as a 'postcard image' is on the mark. The composition and technical aspects are well done. The environment creates a frame that enhances this unique lighthouse. I have no suggestions. Well done! Jul 17th
14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Tom - The handling of the background is beautiful. The bokah is pleasing and creamy. It is a nice compliment to the texture found in the Great Egret. There is a lovely halo of light outlining the egret's feathers which adds a sense of depth - which I understand is a trademark of successful backlit animal images. Otherwise, I think you critiqued your own image. I like the full background as well as the cropped version. I am not sure I agree that only the cropped version would be competition worthy. Jul 17th
14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Kamal - The vibrant colors in this image create its impact! I like your crop, the well defined eye, that lovely texture and those colors. Filling the frame was a great choice. Nicely done! Jul 16th
14 Jul 25 Comment Hi Erin - A nicely staged shot! I also like your choice of converting the image to B&W. If missing the bottom of the cleat bothers you, I understand that it's possible to extend the canvas beyond the original image boundaries, by using the AI-powered Generative Expand feature. I'll admit, I've not tried it. I think this would be a good test of such a feature though. I like Tom's suggestion to crop. In addition, I suggest showing a bit more headroom - I think you had it right in the original. If I were your neighbor, I would be more than pleased! Jul 16th
14 Jul 25 Reply Hi Tom - Adjusting the vignette some should take care of that bright spot although I do like that the background isn't evenly saturated. Thanks for your input! Jul 16th
