Hi Erin - Your tight composition choice works well, and the lack of focus was used to advantage. I also think that including touches of the green background between those petals added some nice contrast. The markings on the flower are helpful in bringing the viewer to center. Nice job! |

Hi Tom - WOW! What impact you've created with this image. I believe that this attempt at post-processing is a winner. The island is striking with the band of white rock providing strong contrast to the deep water and vegetation on this itty-bitty isle. A beautiful capture of an artsy landscape. Good eye and technically well done! |

Hi Kamal - Nice action shot of IAF Marching Men. I agree with all comments. The image has an interesting story that stands well as is. I do believe that isolating the main officer may have made for a stronger presentation overall. I would have liked to have heard your comments and background on the image for more context. Best ~

Hi Karen - The Ghost Casino in Rhyolite must have been something to see in the early 1900s! The image ticks off all the boxes for a lovely landscape. If it were mine, I would keep the 16:9 aspect ratio but perhaps bring it in from the left and up from the bottom. Cutting out the rock barrier and the parking lot may be helpful as the rock outline is a bit of a barrier to get to the main subject. As many times as I've been to the Las Vegas area, this is one place I haven't run across. Thanks for sharing ! |

Hi Greg - WOW! your snorkeling paid off. Each of these images could easily stand on their own. Together though - what a beautiful assortment of underwater wildlife and the barrier reef, nicely composed into a cohesive grouping. I don't know anything about post processing underwater images other than it's typically a necessity. That said, some very clear images and a few that could use a bit more dehazing perhaps. Your collage of images would make great marketing and certainly has me interested in a visit. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Ingrid - It is tough getting critters to cooperate with the camera. Great pivot though as your improvising works well. I agree with Tom's suggestion of flipping the image horizontally. When you do that, the cattail leads your eye in and upward from the bottom corner nicely. A small nit - I wish there was a little more room for each of the bird's tail feathers. There is lots to like - the colors, the composition, your efforts in blurring. Well done! |
