Hi Ingrid - I appreciate your observations! A stronger vignette is an easy fix! |

Hi Kamal - Nice capture! I like that the background nets are creating the diagonal line taming the activity that might otherwise clutter the image. If it were mine, I would crop in even further than what has been suggested keeping the same aspect ratio and perhaps eliminating the vertical pole leading into the subjects arm. Good eye - You've captured an interesting story! |

Hi Erin - Your image has good impact in its simplicity. I would add another vote for cropping from the left. The secondary player is needed to support the story. I also echo others when sharing that your depth of field is right where it should be. Well done! |

Hi Tom - A beautifully processed macro image! Striking detail, color and texture. Well-deserved compliments and good discussion. I have nothing to add. You've done a brilliant job of taking advantage of your inability to get out and about with your camera! A really lovely image! |

Hi Greg - What a fun trip . . . sun, sand, water and some good food and fishing, what a great combination for slowing down and relaxing. Your collage certainly exudes this feeling! I don't have anything to add to the above discussion. Great colors. A collage is a perfect way to summarize 3,000 workshop images. Nice job ~ |

Hi Karen - All those mushrooms . . . What a find! As for my votes: I agree it would be best to knock back or be rid of the third mushroom as well as the deep green running along the top of the image. Also, A black and white version would be well worth the try although I do like the main focus and contrast of the two mushrooms as presented among the forest floor of sticks and leaves too. The texture of the mushrooms is lovely. I hope that Maggie didn't try to eat them! All the best with the local competition - |

Hi Ingrid - I really have nothing to contribute beyond what's already been discussed. Congratulations - You and your friends must have caught a good day to be out and about with your camera . . . Colorado has been extraordinarily cold as of late. Best ~ |

Hi Tom - The foliage was interesting in its textured veins. Examples aren't just in the one leaf but run throughout the left side of the image. It kind of mimics the pattern and veining in the butterfly so it seemed rather uniform in the composition, and I wasn't disturbed by it. That pink bit bothers me more than the leaf. That said, I didn't spend as much time as I normally would have, reviewing the image details in post. I'll take another look. |
