Hi Karen - The line up of 12,000 flags does grab your attention! What a lovely panoramic view of Richmond and the war memorial too. I wish that the panoramic shot had included the entire memorial building in the shot. Since that wasn't possible, I might have cropped the image just left of the memorial sign . . . to simplify the shot some. You don't mention what was needed in post - you had a great sky to work with, no cars on the road (a minor miracle) and a beautiful perspective of the city. What a worthwhile effort!
Thanks for sharing - |

Hi Erin - What a fun image. I agree with you - I like the offset perspective. A team mascot portrait just calls out for whimsical camera angle. The depth of field is nice, the image is sharp and the mascot's colors stand out. Perhaps upping the intensity of the greens a bit and if you're really ambitious delete what looks like distant power lines, but otherwise, a nice "in the moment" and entertaining capture! |

Hi Kamal - An interesting architectural, almost abstract image. I can see why you were inspired to capture it. To my eye, it appears to need a slight degree of rotation to align the horizon. The blue of the sky really pops keeping the focus on Science City. I also like the tight crop on the building. Nicely done - Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Greg - Everything in this image draws me into the triangle created by the creek and water reflections in the center/right. This nice focal point is helpful given the overall monotone feel which is quite nice - soothing really. Being quite picky - I might crop the image to a 7:5 aspect ratio taking out a small slice of the tree trunk on the left. I like that the tree is there, just seems like a little less of it would bring a better balance. Well done! |

Hi Tom - What a gorgeous landscape! The colors are well balanced and beautifully handled - awesome job in post! I love the reflection and detail in the darks and don't think you should have any concern with the clouds. I would get rid of whatever it is in the bottom right corner, but otherwise an impressive and award worthy image! |

Hi Ingrid - What an amusing capture! You just can't plan for this sort of thing! Technically, you did a nice job of bringing it all together - nice texture, depth of field, eye glint, sharp where it needs to be and moving image elements in post to tell the story. I might have cropped from the bottom to a 3:2 aspect ratio as the fencing doesn't add much and takes up a lot of space . . . What a fun image though! |

Hi Tom - I agree that the building on top of the tunnel stands out more than it should, doesn't add anything and could be toned down. The shoes are a bit over the top. I wouldn't dream of cropping them out though :) Thanks for the input! |

Hi Greg - Easy fix to darken that upper left corner. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. |
