That's a good question - I just assumed that we were outside looking in as there is a sign, that was cropped out, posted on the wall of the building. Thanks for your input! |

Hi Erin - I like the choice to convert to B&W and that the image's focal point is tact sharp where it needs to be. It doesn't bother me that you can't see the catcher's or the batter's faces - the whole story is in their body language. I agree that it would have been nice to see the full image of the catcher. I would also like a little more room above the catcher's head. As is though, I would consider cropping halfway between the outfielder and the left edge to a 7:5 just to bring a little more balance to the image. Keep shooting from behind home plate - great perspective! |

Hi Ingrid - As beautiful as this area is, just wait until you see how this landscape photographs in a season other than winter . . . it only gets better. As usual, you've done a lovely job in the capture and the technical processing of the landscape. I think the cloud pattern works well and you've done a nice job on the replacement. Greg makes a good point about the lighting of the sky. As well, the image of the sky appears, at least on my computer screen, to have some noise as well as other artifacts - perhaps dirt on the lens? Overall, a pleasing and scenic Colorado landscape. |

Hi Karen - A beautiful image. I love the image's contrast - the tile pattern creating a border and focal point on the floor below, the ethereal look of the polished stone stairwell, and the outline created by the solid railing. You did a masterful job of seeing this image and capturing the composition at an interesting perspective. Well done - |

Hi Greg - I like all three images. You have a strong foundation image to start with which worked well when running it through your new program which certainly does what its name implies. The outcome is lovely - artistic and reflecting that old world charm. |

Hi Tom - I think your goal in processing this image was achieved with appropriate impact and technically well done. In particular, your creative choices of black & white with high key elements provides that dreamy quality you were looking for and elevates this image above the original. Nicely done! |

Hi Kamal - I didn't know camels smiled so! A very nice camel rider portrait. The image is sharp, the colors are bold, yet not over-saturated and the camel rider appears relaxed and natural given his mannerisms and facial expression. His face has character and your choice in camel riders is a good representation of what he does and where he lives. I like the angle of the shot allowing for a headshot that is contrast against the sky above the business of all that shows in the lower half of the frame. While not really distracting, it made me smile when I first thought the camel had a small cap on his head until I looked a bit closer. Nice impact! |

Hi Tom - What high praise. Thank you for that! As for the composition, I played with different cuts and felt too much interest was lost no matter what I tried. Your point is well taken though, perhaps I didn't try hard enough. On another image recently, my 7 year-old granddaughter suggested a composition I really liked; one I hadn't even considered. I'll give it another go and look again. |
