Hi Kamal - Thanks for your kind comments. I had no idea how rare this tiger was when I captured this image. |

Hi Xiao - The lighting was mostly indoor lights placed quite high. There were places where atrium windows bring in natural light, but I honestly can't recall if they were at this location or what the natural lighting was that day. I didn't use a flash and don't recall many folks using cameras - even their smartphones . . . it was mostly parents and kiddos. I don't get foggy at all on my computer. Thanks for sharing your observations. |

Hi Kamal - I hope that you saw the recent article and accompanying photos in the latest PSA magazine about this first international event in India - perhaps you are in some of the images? The Indian Camel Regiment lined up nicely for you and allowed you to create a lovely composition. The regiment's and camel's decoration is quite colorful and tells a nice story. It is unfortunate, you didn't have a more interesting sky to work with - what an extraordinary event! |

Hi Xiao - You have captured some really nice detail in this Hermit Thrush. I agree that you have achieved great color tone and a moody feel - good job. If this were my image, I might flip it horizontally to create a diagonal moving up toward the right and to take some emphasis off the bird's backside. I can't tell, perhaps this bird is landing, taking off, or hopping around - it really doesn't show in the wings or talons. This is where a bit of blur might have helped. Still a very lovely image. |

Hi Tom - This is a WOW image! It has great emotional impact and tells the story of this athlete's effort. A beautifully artistic use of the panning technique and the vignette placement was an excellent choice. I like that even the grain and the reflection in the wood floor shows movement. The lighting is also nicely handled for an indoor event. Small suggestions might be to crop out to the end of the sign on the left side - that may simplify the image a step further and tone down, just a touch, the three bright spots in the upper right . . . or not if you're after a more photojournalistic image. Great capture! |

Hi Greg - A good choice taking a nice image of a ceremonial dancer with a busy background and creating a completely different image. I like your post processing choices. I have never used the Path Blur; it is effective in creating some nice movement in the image. Your colors are bold, not oversaturated, and work together better than in your original image. A nit - I think I would tone down the red in the face and hands ever so slightly. I am not always a fan of a border, but in this case, it is subtle and pulls together the white background and subject nicely. Nice save! |

Hi Karen - What an expression! . . . certainly creates and impact and makes for a compelling image. I believe it was a good choice to blur the background effectively eliminating distraction and creating some depth and separation. It also helped some with the harsh lighting coming from many directions that this type of venue provides. What a fun image - Thank you. |

Hi Ingrid - A beautiful landscape. The first thing I noticed is the balance of color - the tones work nicely together and create an appeal that draws me through the image. This speaks to a good composition as well. Seems like you've captured the reflection as you hoped. I agree with the comments by Tom and Greg. Nicely done! |
