Hi Kamal - What beautiful animals. I love the velvet richness of color you were able to bring out in their coats. The sparring deer being framed by the tree emphasizes them as the focal point. I do like the onlooker and the dust the duo has kicked up. I agree that the background is a rather busy - perhaps blur the background and crop some from the right side. All that said, it makes for an interesting photograph, no matter the background, whenever you can capture an animal demonstrating a natural behavior. Even in a captive environment, you are fortunate to have observed this interaction as you passed through and to have had the opportunity with camera hand to capture the scene. Best - |

Hi Xiao - It seems with landscapes in particular, that more often the whole image is the main subject. That said, I see your point and appreciate the input. Thanks. Warmest wishes for a joyous and peaceful year ahead filled with lots of photographic inspiration. |

Hi Xiao - Seems you're having some good success with your new area of interest. I like this image for all the reasons that others have mentioned - nice color balance and background, good texture and sharpness of the bird. Also you've captured a good glint in this little guy's eye as well. Well done - Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Greg - Good job getting your image back to dark and moody in processing! While you might have been a bit un-nerved by being in a foreign country while on the bridge, alone, before the sun, I'm glad it didn't stop you from taking advantage of a wonderful opportunity! The light rain brought out some beautiful reflections and highlighted the cobblestone leading me into the image. The starburst from the street lamps helped me navigate the rest of the scene. If this were mine, I might crop out some on the left and try to bring out a small amount of detail from that beautiful building silhouetted in the center (just enough to make one curious :) Your treatment of the sky and the vignette are nicely done and help create that mood you were after. A lovely image overall. How lucky we all are that you had the good fortune to be standing on that bridge, camera in hand. |

Hi Tom - What a great capture! I particularly love the perspective and the image shows how well you thought through the composition before getting your camera involved. The 30 seconds of exposure is a nice touch and added some nice movement to the sky. Great placement of the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the eclipsed moon - getting it all in the frame properly and to good effect. The camera angle makes the expanse of water look magical - like a waterfall pool that begs you to cross and see the cityscape. I think you could go either way with the foreground - personal preference. Either way an awesome photograph! Posted: 12/13/2022 16:01:56 |

Hi Ingrid - What a vivid "jumble of color" it is - has that WOW impact and a 3D composite feel! There are some artifacts around some petals to the left of the main flower that help give the image that mixed media fine art look. Your choices of going close-up and keeping the background in focus are very effective. Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Greg - I assume your referring to dodging and burning all those little electrical poles and I agree, a modest vignette would be nice. I appreciate your input and observations. Warmest wishes for a joyous and peaceful holiday season filled with lots of photographic inspiration. |
