Hi Xiao - I didn't know what all conditions might present itself for shooting when I attended. The jellyfish were backlit and so I just avoided capturing the light directly and got close to the tank in order to avoid the glare. I also took a number of shots from different angles to see what would yield the best results. The one thing I did expect was that I wouldn't have much time to fiddle with camera settings - the five-year old I was with was usually anxious to get on to the next exhibit :) Thanks for your comments. |

Thanks Karen - The entire tank of jellyfish is massive and really did have a Zen feel to it. I appreciate your comments. |

Hi Ingrid - That was an interesting photo workshop! Anyway - aptly titled, the image has impact, interesting lighting, and great texture. You don't mention what, if anything you did in post. Regardless - a striking image with quite a story. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Karen - The composition creates an effective portrait which conveys personality as well as a sense confidence and strength. The yellows are just a bit over saturated in my opinion. The lighting is nicely done. Overall, it's a creative senior portrait. |

Hi Greg - The impact presented by this image is lovely. Particularly effective are the bold yet cool colors brought out in what would otherwise be a universally warm landscape. The composition is compelling with the strong foreground. A small nit is there is a bit of haze diffusing the background landscape. The subject matter works really well for image stacking though. Very nicely done! |

Hi Tom - I wholeheartedly agree with Greg's comments. In addition, I like that you left people on the platform which provides some warmth and provides authenticity to the image. Well done! |

Hi Xiao - The model is posed comfortably and conveys a message appropriate for the fashion presented. Post processing is nicely done. The choice of placing the model facing the camera works well and having him stand against the wooden doors provides a warmth that grounds the image and further supports the story. Overall, an effective image. |

Hi Kamal - While colors in the original were vibrant, I believe it was a good choice moving to monochrome and your crop for this image strengthens the story and draws me into the image. What strikes me is the fully open windows which allowed you full access to your subjects. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing. |

Hi Greg - I appreciate your confirmation on the results of post processing. I had a rough time with the composition most likely because of the abstract nature. Thanks for your input. |
