I selected this photo because it gave me a chance to work on my development of color. I seem to hesitate going too far fearing the photograph will become over-saturated - it's a fine line. I'll keep working on it - Thanks Larry |

The negative space created by the darkest areas of the photograph creates good contrast in this photograph. Sometimes though, it can add depth and interest by bringing forward the darkest areas a smidge (I am going off my own experience and have seen examples of other photos during image analysis sessions where this thinking was helpful) . . . hence my suggestion. Clearly this is something you thought about and dismissed - no concerns. As mentioned before, the lighting is wonderful throughout and I agree with your thinking on the grasses - they are lovely and necessary to the photograph. I appreciate your sharing your thoughts. Thanks for any patience you can extend my learning curve as a new member to image analysis in this format.

I like the texture presented throughout this photograph. It is tough when lighting is harsh although in this situation it accentuates the rugged subject matter. It was a good choice to move to B&W. |

The ideal lighting makes this photograph. I keep wondering what's hidden in the dark though . . . even though the technical aspects are splendid. |

A striking photograph - I really like the angle of the shot and agree with other comments. I might have cropped a bit off the right side but this photo as it stands has great impact. |

Lots done well with this photo as mentioned by others - great capture and decision with lighting treatment, composition, colors and there's no question about the story the photo tells. All it needs is a good title :)
