Then I suppose I should look at it in B&W! |

I agree that water was the only thing I was certain of in the photo. It is very abstract with an attractive color pallette. I looked at it without first looking at the original, so never did guess what the actual subject was. Great show of imagination with your crop! |

A very unusual post-fire scene. So little is left of the trees, just bare trunks with no branches, so the fire must have burned very hot. It conveys a sense of desolation - one wonders if the area will ever be forested again. I think the camera motion does emphasize the abstract nature of the image. |

What an interesting view of the turkey! We have a lot of them around here, and they are very annoying and destructive to gardens. I didn't realize what an interesting subject they would be for a photo. I applaud your courage/patience to get such a striking pose and eye contact from this sometimes aggressive bird! |

A wonderful image! I like it better than the phone image because it really keeps attention on the artist, while including enough of the background to give her context. As mentioned by others, the golden glow on the girl is very special, and the blue background accentuates it. So much more engaging than a simple portrait! |

What a fun image! I love the changes you made - much humor and great story. The color change of the bucket was especially good at unifying the image. |

I also like the adjusted image. To me, the cat seems to be thinking about the situation pretty seriously. I don't think I would make the attempt, if I were the cat, but I'd be curious to know what did happen! The cat really adds interest to the image. |

Thanks for your comments, Will! I will definitely take a look at it in Monochrome, though I love that ice blue so much it might be hard to give it up. |

Thanks Chan! The color is natural, though I did up the texture and clarity a bit and darken the sky to make it easier to see the individual components of the scene. |

Hi Steven and thanks for your comments! The color is pretty much as I saw it. I processed it in Lightroom. I had to darken the sky a bit to differentiate it from the fog rolling in, and raise the highlights a bit in the icicles, but that's about it. |

Thanks, Cindy! I actually thought shark when I first looked at it, but whale works! Svalbard is an archipelago in the arctic. It belongs to Norway. Very stark and otherworldly. |
