Cindy,
This image really captures the feeling of spring! I think of parent and child getting ready to plant their garden. I like what Will said about the curves - they really add to the energy of the scene. |

Will,
The foot and talons on the woodpecker really speak to me! What a wonderful bird and you have captured it so well. The tree with it's roughness and evidence of past activity adds to the whole effect. |

Hi Dale,
I think you accomplished a dreamy, impressionistic look with your processing. Both Steven an Will have made suggestions that can take this image even farther toward your goal. |

Steven, Your osprey is just perfect - so wonderful that you caught him/her performing a behavior - the icing on a beautiful bird photo! |

Hi Chan,
I love that you wrote a poem for your photo! Yes, time reaches for all of us. The fallen petal and the old typewriter in the photo both reflect the meaning expressed in the poem. I'm hoping to take a trip to Japan this year, so also want to study about Japanese aesthetics. |

Thanks Dale! I was very fortunate that the bird picked a good spot to land. |

Thanks for the good suggestion Will! I will certainly experiment with vignette vs darker sky. |

Thanks Steven! Yes, I wish I could have caught some of the more interesting behaviors but still get a sharp and well lit bird, but I will have to work on my bird photo skills! |
