Thanks Cindy! The image didn't have much color except for the green in the surrounding hills, and it felt like that area of color was drawing attention away from the monochrome whale and water. I love color and I've resisted B&W for a long time, but I'm finally starting to appreciate what it can do for an image. |

Thanks Steven. It was a bit close and slightly scary, though so exciting I didn't think about it much. There were also a bunch of dolphins popping in and out of the water - so much going on all at once. |

Thank you for your very interesting interpretation! I like the idea of seeing a two dimensional image as a sculpture. |

What an interesting street scene - even though the language is different, it highlights the similarity to our own country where it is common to see people's messages put out there for the world to see. It seems graffiti is a universal human urge and has been since caveman days. |

Hi Cindy,
What a peaceful, lovely scene! The focus and processing are perfect. I get a slight feeling of it not being level, but as there are no real horizontal lines, it would be a matter of rotating it a bit one way or the other to see if it "feels" more level. |

Hi Will,
I really like your whimsical image! The four boats seem to be floating above the water, taking the viewer to another realm. The subtle color adds a bit of dreaminess to the scene. |

Hi Steven!
The coach seems to be really having fun - what an infectious grin! I can't help smiling as I look at your delightful portrait. A very successful image. |

I was interested to learn about your journey with this image! I am impressed with how you persisted until you got the sense of isolation and simplicity that you were after. The high key background really sets off the bench, and you even got the grass behind the bench to be high key without bleaching out the bench itself. Did you use the color range or luminance range tools to do this? You did an excellent job of bringing your vision to life! |
