What a great view of the river and the falls! And lovely composition, especially the s-curve of the river leading up to the falls. Very nicely done! |

So interesting to see a combination of multiple exposure and ICM! The criss-cross background perfectly highlights the foreground for a very unusual effect. I also enjoyed your pros and cons list, which will give all of us something to think about if we try this technique. I, too, would love to see a photo of the scene without the techniques applied. It is such a mysterious image! |

Such a wonderful family photo! The antique preset works very well with this image - was the white vignette part of that preset, or did you add it? Whichever way, it works very well. The whole image has such a warm emotional impact. |

Fabulous image, Steven. And with a phone camera! You did a great job with the B&W conversion. The B&W really brings out the intense concentration in the man's expression. The closeup of the hands was excellent also. |

You did a wonderful job of removing distractions, and I think the person you left in gives a good sense of scale! I'm not sure about the color palette compared to the original. It almost looks like a print that has been somewhat faded by the sun. |

The line between the real and fantasy - a very interesting place to explore! Some have characterized this as a peaceful or restful image, but to me there is some tension introduced by the darkness of the lower half. One almost has to struggle to extract the stem and leaves from the surrounding gloom. Yet the focus is perfect throughout. I get what Cindy said about being under water. Intriguing, yes. Restful, no. |

Each of the 5 shots was a 42 megapixel image with a about a 1/3 overlap of each image, so there was a fair amount of structure to begin with. Those midwestern clouds are pretty amazing in their appearance - none of that fuzzy coastal structure. I did do some denoising and sharpening in Lightroom - perhaps too much - but this is a fair representation of what I experienced. |
