Thank you for your kind words! As much as I like color, I was happier with this image in B&W, and I'm glad you agree. |

Thanks for your comments! I was a little worried that the extraneous branches might make the image too busy, but the cactus is so dominant, I decided to leave them. |

Thank you! You are right about having many compositions to choose from, as Saguaros are my favorite cacti. |

Very unusual Milky Way image! I like the portrait orientation. I agree with Steven and Chan about some of the distracting elements. I also find the color makes the image difficult to interpret. The ocean looks brown, and the sky is a lighter shade of blue than expected for a night photo. It might be interesting to play around with the colors. Or perhaps try it in B&W. The bright upper clouds on the right could possibly be cloned or cropped out - that would help simplify the image, as would cropping off the beach. You did a great job of capturing the Milky Way core! |

Beach images are bringing on nostalgia for summer and it isn't even officially over! I like the contrast between the wild driftwood and the remnants of the pier or whatever, which seem to be returning to the wild. I agree with Steven about getting closer to the driftwood and lower, and perhaps it might be worth a try to see how more beach and less sky would look. It is interesting to see a lake beach with some of the characteristics usually seen on ocean beaches. |

Very nice image! The use of the slow shutter app was perfect for this scene. The B&W conversion is very appropriate for the scene. It is very interesting how the closer people are almost invisible and don't block out the people behind them. Such an iconic location that has been photographed many times, yet you got a unique take on it. I thought you did a good job of leveling the floor, which for me was the focal point. |

I really like the sharp detail of your image! Casually looking at flowers, they seem symmetrical, but, as your image reveals, there are many small irregularities that add interest, as well as what look like pollen grains that enhance the realistic feel. How wonderful that you will do a class for your club - I'm sure this and other examples that you show them will encourage them to give closeup and macro photography a try. |

A rare color image! I really like the wild, unmanicured feeling of the beach and the reflections in the wet sand. I like the color image more than the monochrome, but mostly because the monochrome image is so busy. |
