Hi Cindy,
What a lovely hummingbird! They are so hard to capture. I agree with what others have said. If you crop in just from the sides and make it a vertical image, the bird would be a larger part of the image without distortion. |

Hi Will,
You did a fine job piecing this together! Thanks for your explanation about the water, which I read later. Even though it looked like a long exposure, it fits in so perfectly that I never considered that the image was a composite. And the HDR doesn't look at all unnatural. Great job of processing and a lovely scene. I do agree that it could be brighter. |

Hi Steven,
Very much a puzzle image! I'm still a little in the dark as to how you did this. I get the horizontal to vertical rotation, but the two halves are not exactly mirror images as far as I can tell. Did you offset them a bit? In some areas it looks like a true reflection, while in others the two parts are somewhat dissimilar. Whatever you did, it certainly keeps the viewer engaged! |

Hi Chan,
I really like this white on white image! The slightly soft focus and the white vignette really add to the total effect. I think you did a great job of processing. |

Hi Lance,
The image does have a strong Japanese art feeling to it, which I like very much. The blue is okay, but perhaps a warmer rendition would be more pleasing. I wish the sun were not so close to the top of the image. It feels a little unbalanced or perhaps it just pulls the eye away from the rest of the image. I love the sharpness of the focus on the sand and the detail in the water near the sun. It could work as part of a diptych or triptych, but it stands very well on its own. And it has a contemplative structure as I understand the term. |

Hi Chan, and thank you for your comments. I did not enhance the color, just metered on the bright sky causing the foreground to be quite dark, accentuating the sky color. |

Thank you for your suggestion and comments, Steven! I should probably do that thin white border with all dark photos - I can't think of a downside to doing it. |

Thank you Cindy! The camel is just walking - something about the hind legs not being separated caused it to look like that. Thanks for noticing it - I need to look at the other images I took at the same time and see if there is one where the legs look better. |
