Hi Debasish,
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your comments! The black and white version definitely draws more attention to her expression. Because the colors are so representative of the Cinco de Mayo celebration, it never even occurred to me to try it. I've thought of B&W as a way of emphasizing patterns and tones, and now I have a new way to think about it! |

Hi Chan and thanks for the explanation! That isn't something I would have thought of. I can still pretend she was enjoying a private joke. I will look for interesting expressions on the faces of dancers from now on with your explanation in mind! |

I haven't tried PS lately. but I will venture there again since I wasn't completely satisfied with what I did in LR. Thanks for the nudge! |

Hi Lance! Wedding Street Photography - very fun! The sign really adds to the scene and black and white suits the image perfectly. |

Hi Chan, What a wonderful token of appreciation! I am sure she is thrilled with the outcome. The limited color palette of her dress and the chair really sets off her face. And I like the reverse vignette. Thanks for telling us about Portrait Pro! |

Hi Steven,
I would have never guessed your image was taken with a phone! You did a great job capturing the receding layers of mountains and clouds. I totally get it about not lugging around heavy equipment all the time. I am looking forward to updating my phone later this year. |

Hi Dale! Wonderful image! I haven't been using a CPL either, but seeing your image and reading the discussion is making me interested in trying. The rising mist in this image is especially beautiful and I appreciate your explanation of how it got there! |

Hi Will,
I like your image, but I really love the first of the three images you added! The boy is working very hard to fill the order and even though we can't see his eyes as well as in the original photo, his expression is so much more relatable. I like how the second and third photos show the juicer, but it is hard to beat the sense of effort that shows up in the first of the three. Great work with limited time and space - it really illustrates the difficulty level of street photography. |

Hi Cindy,
I like the sharpness of the planes and especially of the smoke plumes. I agree that it would be fun to experiment with shutter speed to get that little blur in the propellers. I hope you did some of that experimentation at your grandson's game! I look forward to seeing what you got in our next posting.

Thanks Cindy and Steven for your comments. That line on the right is a power cord or guy wire that I didn't pay much attention to when I looked at the image. But once it was mentioned, it was all I could see! I worked on it a bit in Lightroom and sort of got rid of it. I agree that it would have been nice if she was looking at the camera, sort of a shared joke feeling, but I had to settle for her private moment of amusement. |
