87 Sep 21 Reply Thanks Lance. Of course you are right, especially with a longer exposure, there was no need for a higher ISO. I'm hoping for the day when thoughts like that come automatically, but I'll just have to keep plugging at it. Sep 15th
87 Sep 21 Comment I love the randomness of the water droplets! Perhaps the wind helped make them different sizes, but, whatever caused it, the photo is very different from the typical water on web photo, very original. It would be nice to see more of the web, and Steven makes a good point about the camera settings, another good reminder that I will try to burn into my brain. Great seeing and great job! Sep 8th
87 Sep 21 Reply Thanks Cindy! I think a lot of us need to be reminded about checking settings - too many years of point and shoot! That's what is so great about this group - the gentle reminders! Sep 8th
87 Sep 21 Reply I'll do my best! Sep 2nd

87 Sep 21 Reply Thanks, Steven! I don't know about steady hands, but the image stabilization does help a lot. I really need to keep reminding myself to check my settings each time I do something different. I didn't even think about ISO, just set the shutter for 1/8 second and let the camera deal with it. Not the most professional way to go, but maybe next time I will think more and shoot less! Sep 2nd
87 Sep 21 Comment Very nice composition! I like how the tree on the left seems to be framing and almost protecting the other two trees. The sky looks great, both in detail and color - very nice image! Sep 2nd
87 Sep 21 Comment Wow, your front porch! They are coming to San Francisco in early October and I am hoping to see them, but, like Steven, I will have to make a trek and park and deal with crowds. You did a great job capturing them!

87 Sep 21 Comment Beautiful, clear, crisp image with wonderful tonal range! I also love the red number. The HDR worked very well and looks totally natural. Excellent image! Sep 2nd
87 Sep 21 Comment Your scene really does convey coolness and quiet and the different textures go very well together. The crop is perfect, and I like the earthy color palette. The dried leaves are a very authentic touch - glad you didn't clear them away! Sep 2nd
87 Sep 21 Comment What a beautiful animal! I just love the textures and the folds of the skin, and the B&W emphasizes both. And I love the haughty expression you caught - an iguana with personality! A little more contrast between it's head and the background would be nice, but it is very clear, regardless, and just a stunning portrait! Sep 2nd
