Thanks for the comparison photo! The differentiation between the bird and the background is so much greater in the current photograph - I wouldn't have thought to use it that way. And thanks for the tip about the PSA class. I've taken two of them, basic and analysis, and enjoyed both, but got away from it when I took a semester long art history class. Time to get back to business! |

HI Dale,
Sounds like a fun class! The color and detail on the crane are wonderful, and the blurring of the background really sets off the beauty of the bird. I would love to see an example of how the CPL filter affected the color and detail. A lovely portrait! |

Hi Steven,
What a great quarantine project! It has a great holiday feel with the bright colors, but could probably double as a 4th of July shot, especially if you composited a few more of your variations! Great for sci fy movie intros, too. I love the whimsy of it. |

Hi Chan,
I love the detail of this old door! And your framing contributes to the feeling of age. It is good in monochrome, but I think the color version gives the door an interesting sense of place. And I really like the rust in the color version. It is intriguing how the change from color to monochrome makes the image so much more abstract. |

Such an interesting effect with the flash and the long duration of the shot. Was it wind that caused the blurring of the white stripes? Such a strong feeling of the lives of those unfortunate men and women dissolving into the universe. A very powerful image. |
