Hi Fion,
I was just skimming through groups to see what was out there when I stumbled across your video. I am scheduled to go to Churchill in November (fingers crossed that the pandemic doesn't interfere) so I just had to watch and be blown away! You caught such amazing moments of tenderness between mother and baby. Even the professional promotional materials I have seen do not compare to the impact of your video. Wonderful! |

Thanks for your comments, Chan. I have a lot to learn about using the phone camera and editing with it also, especially to tone down those highlights. |

Thanks for the iPhone suggestions! Especially about editing on the iPad. I have Lightroom on there and the screen is larger, so it should be a lot easier than trying to do it on the phone. I will be attending a workshop on Saturday and hope to learn a bit more about editing and controlling my settings. I have the same phone as you and it seems to have a lot of different options. And I'll have to check out Snapseed - I keep hearing it mentioned, but haven't tried it yet. |

I love the vivid color and f/9 aperture worked well to give you a reasonable depth of field. I agree with both of you about the cropping. |

Very nice macro, Chan! The focus is excellent, especially at the base of the bud. Depth of field is pretty shallow, as expected, and the background is nicely blurred. This would have been a great image to try using focus stacking, something I am going to try to learn. |
