I like what you did, especially removing some of the grey on the right. I liked the blue and I think it would have been fine without cropping it as much. Either way, a nice abstract, painterly image.

Thanks for your comments, Graham! Image hotness is something I find challenging. I usually opt to go with the histogram and not change things if it doesn't show clipping, but I'd be interested to learn about other ways of determining that an image needs to be toned down. Perhaps you or Lance could post a mini-lesson on the topic! |

The golden light is particularly beautiful on this big, golden eyed owl. It was nice that you could get him without any people in the shot. Nice blurring of the background really makes him stand out. |

Hi Graham,
I love the colors! The image is almost abstract and gives the eye a lot to explore. It would be interesting to see it rotated 180 degrees! |

How interesting to get a look at an area that is now uninhabitable! Very nice detail on the horse and the birds. The horse's nose disappearing into the brush gives a sense of movement. The whole photo gives a sense of wild creatures going about their lives unmolested by humans. I might have cropped a little from the right side, but that is just a personal preference. |
