I agree with you about baby photos. A taste I've not yet acquired. I do like your Cheerios though! |

The detail, light and reflections on the pin's clasp are quite amazing Charlie. I personally like the fore- and background blur as it helps pull my eye to the pin. I detect slight graininess in the blurred areas. Could this be eliminated? |

Like Janos, I too thought these were exotic chocolates! Too bad that focus stacking didn't quite get the job done on the surface. I had a similar problem in last month's submission. I wonder if blurring the surface on the right would help? |

Very cool photo Angela. I'm not sure that I would have known I was looking at a hairbrush if you hadn't told us! I've spent lots of time cleaning dust and specks off of images. There's something kind of soothing about it. |

Fascinating image Janos. The detail on the corkscrew tip is amazing. My eye is drawn to the white outer lines just a tad. |

Thanks Janos. I thought about blurring the sauce just a tad. Might be worth a try. |

Thanks for your advice and the edit suggestions, Charlie. They certainly do draw more attention to the handle and rim. I too found the reflection of the handle bothersome when I first noticed it. I tried to minimize it by turning the cup a bit clockwise. This brought into view a gold line on the saucer below the flowers (hidden by the handle in the submitted photo) that I found even more distracting than the reflection. |
