Well Bill I'm certainly not the person to ask about this picture....Spiders are my biggest phobia...so just looking at it makes me squirm, so the fact that its out of focus is alright by me.. lol but on a serious note... I agree with Denise about the composition. The main focus area is odd and the random piece of its leg being in focus really draws the viewers eyes away from the subject. |

The snow looks like I could reach out and touch it. I love how you also captured some falling snow as well. Removing some of the shadow around the eye while deepening the black of the pupil might be nice. The yellow in the grass also brings my eye up away from the subject. |

The colors are so vibrant but not over done, very nice. I like seeing the details in the veins of the leaf. The crop is eye pleasing, and I like the color of the background. I think maybe the background being in focus takes away from the leaf tho. I think if the background was blurred a bit it would make the edges of the leaf more defined and make it pop up off the background a bit more. But overall it is a fantastic pic. Good eye catching the beauty before throwing it away. |
