Well caught Andrea. It is not easy to get full detail of the bee like you have. It my opinion if you cropped in from the top and placed the bee on the top left third, thus removing a lot of the distracting yellow petal, then I believe it would turn a good photo into an even better one. |

I agree with Linda, I believe that if you cropped out the left hand side, up to the tree trunk and darkened the sky slightly, then it would concentrate your eyes more on the owls. However, I believe it is still a good image and shows the parent looking proud of its achievement. |

It is a busy squirrel. The catch-light in the eyes draw your attention and make the squirrel stand out. Nicely caught. |

Linda, I did not see the first image but this one with the crop, I believe it has the wow factor that grabs your attention. The eyes have it, they get your attention and they hold it. I find it is threatening and I don't want to look away, I dare not look away. I think it is stunning, well done. |

Ginny, I think this is a very nice capture of a difficult subject. I can never get the right angle but you have here. To my eyes though, if the picture were cropped square, with the lily placed exactly in the center, then it would remove a lot of that left hand leaf that is not in sharp focus and if you darkened down the reflection on the same leaf, then I believe that you have a better image. My eyes tend to be distracted to that one leaf. |
