The first thing that hits you is the red eye effect and I am glad you wanted to include that. Glow has made a good shot pleasing composition into a monster creation and it works. In the original, if I came across that cat I would want to make a fuss of it. In the one in the photo I certainly wouldn't want to come across it.
Well caught and well done. |

The lost shadow is a point, however the lily pad is beautifully sharp and captured well. The thing that hits me is that the front of the car appears higher than the rear and that looks a bit unnatural. Perhaps if it was put a bit lower that would make a difference but hey, two good shots and a bit of imagination produces a striking image. |

Oliver this is a well captured photo. It is not done in a studio, it is taken on the hoof which makes it difficult but you have processed it to perfection while dropping down the bright areas in the background which detracted from the photo. The "first to fire" slogan I think draws attention to his eyes and I would not be unduly alarmed by that but I would have liked to see him either head on without sunglasses or if its at an angle then a good reflection in his sunglasses. However this was not a studio sitting and you have a great photo from what was available at the time. |

Phil, my comments on the photo will not make any difference, this is a moment you will treasure until you die. The story makes it very touching and all the better. However, back to reality, as a photo showing life it works. The baby is the centerpiece and nothing detracts from that. Areas out of focus and blurred improve the composition immensely, well done on a great picture and congrats to a a new granddad. |

David, the final color and textures are brilliant. From the original image you have infused character and personality, well done on getting such a rich image. This must be a reflection of your photography style, congratulations, it works. You have turned a mediocre image into one of impact and very pleasing on the eye. |

Barbara, adding that third petal to create an odd number makes a great difference.I don't feel that the crop is too tight it concentrates focus on the central subject. The original background was too dark but lightening and adding an inverted vignette makes this picture. I think it is excellent, well done |
