66 Jul 25 Reply Yes Steve, why not try taking a few portraits, or even streets scenes like Arik has taken. For me IR is experimental, so why not experiment? Jul 25th
66 Jul 25 Reply Gary, I was conflicted about eliminating the long flower blade. I'll keep it in a revision version. Thanks. Jul 15th
66 Jul 25 Reply Jack, I asked other cosplayers to pose using my Nikon Z7, but not this one using the IR camera. She didn't pose for me. I caught her in a good moment, then she vanished. Jul 15th
66 Jul 25 Reply Melanie, yap, I had my eye on those spots too, but thought they were an authentic part of the palace. Thanks for the nudge. They are gone. Jul 15th
66 Jul 25 Comment Hello Steve and welcome to DD 66! If your first image forecasts what you will share in the future, we are going to enjoy a lot of lovely IR art from you. My feedback is mostly nitpicking. I imagine the image with the stone house a bit off center and with a tad more contrast between the sky and trees. Cropping for a more landscape format might better arrest the attention of the viewer. It's all about experimenting and intrinsically enjoying it. Thank you for joining us and sharing this graceful image. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Emil, I'm with Henry in my comments this month. The residual colors in the original render quite an interesting image. That said, the b&w version is interesting too, especially because of how the path brings the viewer deep into the image. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Henry, thank you for playing god removing all the living things in this image. It is so much more profound in its starkness. Second to that master stroke, is the work you did with the sky. Again, you've captured a familiar scene, but freshly rendered it. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Gary, again, you have shared a story, not just an image, splendid as it is. I like how you used the encroaching weeds to help tell the story. Nicely rendered. A "breaking away" piece of history elegantly saved. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Jack, the tracks on the right are all right. The contrast between the hard tracks and the soft grass is fetching. How you framed in the trees and barn with the clouds is masterful. Such an elegant image. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Arik, I like what you did bringing out the tonal differences in the shadows. For me, of course, the bike is important, but just as much are the windows and the door. Lovely. Jul 10th
66 Jul 25 Comment Melanie, for me the unfamiliar, "strange" foliage draws my attention as much as the cavern. I like what you did to highlight the foliage. Removing the bobbins was essential. Did you try experimenting with lightening the shadows in the cavern? But overall, spicy eye candy. Jul 10th

88 Jul 25 Reply Yes Judy, I had to be aggressive to gain a spot to take this photograph, which can be fun too. Jul 10th
88 Jul 25 Comment Sanat, your images are also stories. They are journalistic too. You are attracted to complex scenes with multiple places for the eye to fixate, which is a style that some judges in camera clubs have difficulty with. I love the colors and the implied action and the human energy in this image. Jul 10th
88 Jul 25 Comment What you have done to sharpen the image and balance the highlights has made this photograph so lovely. I like the way you positioned the blue tower off-center. However, somehow in processing lines appeared in the sky and in the reflection. I've had this happen using Topaz sharpening. Jul 10th
88 Jul 25 Comment Mark, I have taken a similar photograph of the castle hill in Prague. It seduces you. Time of day makes it easier to get the light you want (e.g., early morning), however, you've done a lot to enrich the colors, enhance contrast and bring out the beauty in the sky. Jul 10th
88 Jul 25 Comment Brian, wow, this is a great image. You can't do much to improve it, only to change the visual translation. For example, how does the image feel flipped horizontally? Would eliminating the roosting bird draw more attention to the elegance of the flying egret? But as is, it is a wall hanger. Jul 10th
