Henry, improving the geometry of the image not only reduced distortion but also added a grand vista feeling to the image. You removed many tourists, but left some. Good decision, good balance. Indeed that cloud can easily serve as the subject of this splendid late Spring image. I like the sky as is, no need to crop. |

Jack, I like this version better. I agree with you about trumping up the sky, and my eye wants a bit less clutter on the back, right side of the house (a preference more than a suggestion). |

Emil, looks like your subject is a 1941 Buick "Super" Speaking of super, you did a terrific job rendering it. I like the color switching and particularly brushing in more color in the leaves. You made the story of an 83 year old car come to life. |

Indeed it is a 1952 Chevy "Delux". Old cars are great subjects for IR. I like what you did to make this 72 year old car even older appearing. Removing the clutter allowed the car to be the center of attention and vignette reinforced it. You inspired me to find a junk yard. |

Arik, this is the kind of IR image most folks think was taken in winter, which is a tribute to how you so cleanly and skillfully processed it. I like the pure whites and nature blue sky. How you captured the shadows gave depth and increased interest in this lovely image. |

Emil, your crop makes the image better, definitely much more pano; however, I felt the absence of clouds at this high elevation allows the viewer to experience and feel what the near top of the earth's atmospheric dome is like. There is this silent nothingness in the upper atmosphere that I tried to capture, but perhaps it is not that photogenic? Nonetheless, some cropping needs to be done. |

Thanks again Gary for the useful comments. Indeed the image is tilted a tad on the right. I fixed it. However, while there may be too much sky, I want to retain some of it to alert the viewer that this is thin air, near the top of the dome of the earth's atmosphere. |

Melanie, I like the mono version too. However, I have found the Camera Raw filter useful to tweak colors after channel switching has been done. Sampling and resampling custom white balance helps finding the tone of blue you need. Fine tuning can be done with the Color Mixture sliders. |

Solid suggestions and useful comments Trey. It is B&W because of Ansel Adams. I will follow your advice darkening the bottom left triangle and working on the clouds in the reflection. Thanks for the help. |

The Exit Glacier is an index of environmental tragedy. How much it has retreated and melted in the last 50 years is sorrowful. It is good that you captured what remains. What you did in post processing made it come more alive. The telephoto focal length compressed the image nicely. |

Brian,
I like your use of the sunset reflection on on the placid waters to create a leading line. The crop brought the distant mountain into focus. I'd be tempted to delete the lane guides, but that's your call. |

Trey, you accomplished your goal of keeping the colors and lightness while not losing the fog. Indeed this image tells a story while it shares the beauty of the heartland. I hope people in your area are aware of the splendid work you do. |

Mark, I like the contrast of the shadowed and illuminated fields. The red barn creates a center of attention. I admire your creativity using the Painterly Effect; however, the image on my monitor seems to lack resolution, which may have been caused by limits imposed by the camera and you zooming in? |
