66 May 24 Reply Arik, except for the tiny people on the bridge viewing spot, it is hard to grasp how big this bridge was. I will visit it again when the light is not as harsh and clouds still fill the sky. Thanks. May 2nd
66 May 24 Reply Jack, I increased the contrast in the sky, but the consensus is that more drama is needed for a photo with "disaster" in the title. OK! May 2nd
66 May 24 Reply Yes Henry, locals are proud of this broken bridge. Some claim it was the tallest, longest bridge in the world. Foolish thrill seekers still sky dive off of it when authorities are not there. Thanks for the shadow suggestion. May 2nd
66 May 24 Reply Emil, going back when the light is better is a good idea and a good reason for a road trip. Thanks. May 2nd
66 May 24 Reply Because you and our esteemed colleagues recommend bringing out the details in the shadows, which I strongly agree with, it will be done. BTW, Gary is looking for the culprit who stole the missing "s" in disater :) May 2nd
66 May 24 Reply Gary, the missing "s" was Melanie's typo. We forgive her. I like what you did to bring out more details in the shadows. Thank you! May 2nd

88 May 24 Comment This image, for me, is journalistic. It captures a moment in curious unique place. I agree with others about it being complex with several focal areas. You probably could derive 3 or 4 images from this one. May 20th
88 May 24 Comment Brian, the tranquility of this image is palpable. I am a kayaker and would love to be there. Your choice of depth of field makes sense, however my eye would allow your wife to be a bit more in focus. The bright section on the front of her boat might be darkened, but this is your call. 88 May 24 Reply I allowed the horizon line to be a bit more blue to contrast with the sky, but you are right, another option would be to change the overlap distance May 20th
88 May 24 Comment Trey, capturing the movement of water is certainly a balance of science and art. Your shutter speed is spot on and I like how you kept the color in the water. The angle of the shot is intimate, it places the viewer almost dangerously at the edge of the river. Wonderful. May 20th
88 May 24 Comment I've seen many attempts to capture the golden ring, but yours is one of the best. The multiple image work you did was surely worth it because the next eclipse occurs in the year 2079. May 20th
88 May 24 Comment Brian, nice post processing work. The replaced moon is quite natural looking and I like how its light plays against that in the boat. You handled the noise quite well too. Fantastic image! May 20th
88 May 24 Comment Yes Brian, I used an older camera for this shot, the Nikon 750 is full frame but only has a 24 megapixel sensor May 20th
88 May 24 Comment Mark, I tried to defy photo editing; hope it does not muss-up one of your favorite shots. May 10th
