Arik, except for the tiny people on the bridge viewing spot, it is hard to grasp how big this bridge was. I will visit it again when the light is not as harsh and clouds still fill the sky. Thanks. |

Jack, I increased the contrast in the sky, but the consensus is that more drama is needed for a photo with "disaster" in the title. OK! |

Yes Henry, locals are proud of this broken bridge. Some claim it was the tallest, longest bridge in the world. Foolish thrill seekers still sky dive off of it when authorities are not there. Thanks for the shadow suggestion. |

Emil, going back when the light is better is a good idea and a good reason for a road trip. Thanks. |

Because you and our esteemed colleagues recommend bringing out the details in the shadows, which I strongly agree with, it will be done. BTW, Gary is looking for the culprit who stole the missing "s" in disater :) |

Gary, the missing "s" was Melanie's typo. We forgive her. I like what you did to bring out more details in the shadows. Thank you! |

This image, for me, is journalistic. It captures a moment in curious unique place. I agree with others about it being complex with several focal areas. You probably could derive 3 or 4 images from this one. |

Brian, the tranquility of this image is palpable. I am a kayaker and would love to be there. Your choice of depth of field makes sense, however my eye would allow your wife to be a bit more in focus. The bright section on the front of her boat might be darkened, but this is your call. |

I allowed the horizon line to be a bit more blue to contrast with the sky, but you are right, another option would be to change the overlap distance |

Trey, capturing the movement of water is certainly a balance of science and art. Your shutter speed is spot on and I like how you kept the color in the water. The angle of the shot is intimate, it places the viewer almost dangerously at the edge of the river. Wonderful. |

I've seen many attempts to capture the golden ring, but yours is one of the best. The multiple image work you did was surely worth it because the next eclipse occurs in the year 2079. |

Brian, nice post processing work. The replaced moon is quite natural looking and I like how its light plays against that in the boat. You handled the noise quite well too. Fantastic image! |

Yes Brian, I used an older camera for this shot, the Nikon 750 is full frame but only has a 24 megapixel sensor |

Mark, I tried to defy photo editing; hope it does not muss-up one of your favorite shots. |
