Henry, it seems like you did a lot of processing and took a lot of steps to render the final image, but I can see why you invested so much work. Ferns are delicate and your efforts revealed their vulnerability so masterfully. Your crop emphasized the ferns and improved balance in composition. Nice work! |

Emil, this is a splendid cloudscape image, a perfect subject for IR. The contrast and tonality in the clouds is gorgeous.
Removing the pole allows the viewer to cross the bridge and leap into the sky. It may make the scene too artificial, but my eye wants everything but gate and bridge removed too. |

Palli, this image has a lovely surreal quality to it. The juxtaposition of the birds laid out like pieces in on a board game against the more natural sky & clouds gives the mind some engaging work to do. Adding the white edge frames the image nicely. The poles holding the photoelectric panels are minor distraction for my eyes. Overall, wow, this is interesting! |

Gary, I can understand why you were attracted to this mysterious bridge. I've not had good luck with IR in the winter, discovering what you have that energy holding trees, grass and foliage helps to compose IR images. What if you tinkered with color with this image, but your filter may not give you this option? |

Jack, for me, it is the placement of the people in the foreground that make this image much more interesting. They complement the buildings. You lightened them to draw attention to them, but why not do a tad more dodging to make them pop out ever more? |

Arik, your use of color is masterful. The subtle soft blue of the shed completely changes this image and make it decidedly more visually appealing that a black & white rendition. I've got to learn how you do this. |

Melanie, the highlights, for me, give this image impact. I like how the buildings glow and how they contrast with the foliage and water feature. You make NYC look lovely. |

Sanat, these are such interesting towers. The texture is rich. As with all taller structures, they appear a little tilted. This can be corrected, if you wish, in Photoshop or Lightroom. The sky is plain, and that's ok; however, you might consider replacing the sky with one containing thin wispy clouds. |

Brian, this is a complex scene, but using the water and reflection pulls the elements together. The color is absolutely lovely, so subtle and understated. Great work rendering this final colorful image from an otherwise gray original. |

Trey, again you have made an image worth hanging on the wall. I like the crop and the conversion to black & white. Clever use of the Z-pattern of weeds and fence leading the viewer to the barn. Applying a soft haze completes this lovely winter scene. |

Quang, you captured such lovely light, it is so warm and natural but is interesting contrast to the unnatural oil rigs. Lovely as the birds are, because they are close to the right frame, it might be better to move them a notch leftward. Good work rendering this lovely image from the underexposed original. |

Mark, I like the way you brought out the red tones to contrast with the snow. Brian's suggestion to straighten the horizontal is worth considering. A plain pale blue sky might compete less with the snow. I'm glad you found this old building, they make great subjects. Thanks for sharing. |
