Yes this image is multistable in terms of definition of the dominant subject. I have a version without the pigeon that may be more pleasing to the eye. |

Yes I flipped coins to decide on keeping the humans. They are less graceful looking than the pigeon and distracting; so, I'm going to play God and remove them. Thanks for biasing my coins. |

Henry, the Garden of the Gods is a magical place, which your photograph captures quite well. The sky you rendered so deeply blue contrasts nicely with the boulders and foliage in the garden. Since you and I experiment more with color than the others in this group, perhaps we should share some trade secrets. I'm wondering about your white balance setting in your camera, it seems too bias to reds. You might have a second look at it. Also, in post processing, you can make some white balance adjustments in Camera Raw using the customized setting. You'll be delighted with the results. |

Emil, such a lovely scene, so perfect for IR. Removing the spillover dam was essential, allowing the reflection and the viewer's eye to move on to the bridge. Your translation to black and white is masterful, however, being me, the colorized version is lovely too. If the color of the sky was changed, the image would be pleasantly dreamy. |

Palli, the inversion was a smart creative decision. It made these beautiful trees the subject allowing the viewer to see a lovely abstract pattern too. Wow. |

Gary, you are so creative. Here you have made a sculpture-like image, not merely a photograph. The glow adds so much interest value, especially the tops of the palm trees. Please don't laugh at this trival suggestion: why not remove the couple going into the castle, don't they know the title of this intriguing image? |

Jack, this is a complex image, but you wisely used the path through the vineyard to pull things together. The vibrant luminescence of the grape leaves could only be accomplished with IR. I like Palli's version; it gives more pop to an image that is already strong. |

Arik, such powerful interesting clouds. This is not only an exceptional IR image, but also a story about an isolated, abandoned home. I agree with the other commments and add a suggestion: why not remove the little hut at the lower left? |

Melanie, I like the viewpoint you took on this marvel of architecture. The curved walkway and repetition of geometric forms is a good IR subject. Eye candy. |

I agree with the comments of Rich and Mark and would like to second your thoughts as well about cropping. The grass in the foreground causes my eye to hesitate entering the image. May I suggest also making the clouds a bit more angry by increasing contrast and texture. These are great clouds; they contrast beautifully with the tranquility of the rest of the image. |

Yes, I over salt my food and over saturate my images. I agree, the colors have to move a tad back to natural. Thank you. |

I agree with Mark's comments and must add that this is one of the best images you have shared with us. The placement of the boy and his glance downward is powerful. Thank you for sharing this portrait of solitude with us. |

I like the way you used a fast shutter speed to capture the energy of the storm surge. One can almost hear the waves hitting this pier. Shfting the color more toward blue brings a coldness to the image that completes its story. |

This image arouses one's compassion. She is not your usual beggar. Look at her clothes and bag. She is not used to doing this sort of thing. She is desperate. I particularly appreciate the look of discomfort on her face that you captured. Thank you for sharing the image and the story it tells. |
