Such a splendid scene. The reflection adds power to this image, as does the sky. I like Gary's suggestion: an already powerful image is made more so with a more dynamic sky. |

My goodness Palli, the rich, savage detail in the gum tree is something to behold. I agree with others about getting more separation and contrast with the background |

Jack, the harsh light is not that much of an issue, to the contrary, it allowed you to capture details and emphasize leading lines. I like what you did to darken the sky, which in turn, created better contrast with the scene. Either the flipped or original are fine images IMHO. |

Arik, like you I can't resist a curved path especially when it disappears into trees and delicate foliage. Excellent skill in the removing the garbage cans. I like the way you softened the image and shifted the color toward a subtle fleshy pink. For me the image has a charming femine quality. Simply beautiful. |

For the sake of brevity, Melanie shortened the caption. I sent her the caption "Fagradalsfjall Volcano Seabound Lava" |

Melanie, I like the way you used the leaves to frame in the barn and give the image depth. In the orginal, light reflects off the roof of the barn, which draws the viewer's eye to the middle of the image. This is an effect I like, but it was less evident in the final image, which is OK. |

Gary, people talk about cropping and how it can transform an image, for those who don't believe this, they should have a look at "Hollywood Nights". The crop and the adjustment of tones in the highlights and shadows transformed an ordinary portrait into a masterpiece. |

Thanks Trey. That's solid useful feedback. I agree about focus and subject matter. The viewer has too much to process with this image. |

Sanat, this is a great subject for a landscape image. The aerial viewpoint is spot on. I like the way you captured both falls and retained some tourists to give a sense of scale. My only suggestion, which stems from an obsessive tendency, is to remove distractions like the powerlines & poles in the distance and even the blue house and other stuff in the background so as to allow the viewer to focus on and feel the power of this magnificient waterfall. |

Rich, what a difference between the original and your finished version. The path lined with glorous flowers is a powerful compositional element. For me, bringing the bird more in focus adds a lot. You took a photo during a gray day and revealed the latent beauty behind it. |

Quang, what a lovely Fall image. Thank you for the background story and information. I have just a couple things you might consider. The woman at the base of the waterfall gives us a sense of scale; however, her bright orange jacket competes with the leaves for attention. What if you captured just the jacket and then desaturated the color a notch or two. The sky is a bland hazy white; so, would a sky replacement help? Overall, the image is lovely and makes me want to visit this place. |

John, I like your last edit. This is a good detail-rich image, considering you only had 12 megapixels to work with. My two cents concerns the slightly over saturated foliage. I like the lines. It is a location I'd like to visit. |

Trey, what makes this image have impact for me is the touch of god light you added to the top center of the trees. Next, is what you did to bring out of the white of the bark and the deepening of the red in the leaves. What a lovely image. |
