Palli, I like the steel blue tint you have in this and other images you have shared with us. Replacing the foreground with water was a brave move, but it works! My eye also appreciates your skillful removal of the tourists. What Gary did to utilize the cloud, is certainly an appealing optional image. |

Jack, I like how the roofline of the barn correlates with roofline of the entrance structure. They lean together. My eye likes it all; however, I wonder about the sharpness of some of the foreground, specifically the vegetation close to the barn. On the other hand, I am uncertain that eliminating it or sharpening it is worth the effort. |

Emil, the bridge is such a strong leading line, but agreeing with the others, the little light structure is a distraction. Also, although it's a picky point, the sky has noticeable noise in spots. On the other hand, if you remove it, you may lose sharpness. |

Melanie, such an intriguing nesting strategy by the weaver birds. I like your treatment of it. You did capture a serene feeling. However, I also like Palli's modifications. Going vertical incorporates the bird on the beach into the middle and background subjects. I also like the increased contrast in the clouds, albeit at the expense of a soft, serene image. |

Jack, this is my best attempt to heed the advice of you, Palli, Gary & Melanie. Thank you. It is indeed a more fetching image. |

Gary, I really like this image. It is beautiful. The back lighting of the sunflower and leaves is so luminous and vital against the dark sky. Converting it to landscape made it pop. Very nice work. |

Gary, now that both you and Jack have pointed out the distraction of the tree, I have got to get a saw and cut it out. I like what you suggested. I am fiddling around with the content-aware tool as a method to delete it. Not an easy task however. |

Ian, thank you for the generous comments. I am glad this photo reminded you of your second car. Can easily relate to this. |

Louis, I agree, the image is a bit cramped. Pulling out, however, introduced other compositional elements (roof lines and mismatching windows, and trim work). But it should have been less cropped. Thanks. |

Trey, this image was a lot of work. Forty-six shots were taken to form this pano. I like what you did with dodging and burning to add just enough light contrasts to raise interest value and increase dynamic range. My eye wants more of a blue tint in the distant sky, artificial as this might be. Perhaps the footprints were not as strong as they might be for a leading line. Were you tempted to venture out on the ice to extend them? I hope not. |

Sanat, what a wonderful difference between the original and your finished image. The original is dull and flat, unlike the finished image that is vibrant with better contrast. I like the way you have used the road as compositional device. Striking as the red in the tent is, I wonder if desaturating it a bit might allow the viewers eye to skip into the valley easier? |

Quang Phan, this image teases us want-to-be snow birds. Such warm sunsets seem like a fantasy for photographers living near Buffalo. I like the mood of this image. The sunset worshippers are well placed and it is good that you left the long grasses in the image. There are a couple tiny sun spots in the foreground, hardly worth mentioning, and not detracting that much from your good work. |

Rich, your goal to create a dream-like image was achieved. The reflections in the water and soft light and pastel colors of the houses completes the composition. However, my eye is picking up some noise, which is surprising given the resolution of the Sony A7rii. Of course, some noise can add to the softness of image. Programs like Topaz DeNoise can remove noise quite well. I wonder if the image would have more appeal if the sky on the left side was slightly less bright? |

It is quite amazing to contrast the images you start with against the final products. As I have note before, you have a high level of mastery of post-processing programs. Adding the cowboy created a story cast in the context of a lovely fall-colored image. I like that he is facing away. It's a bit of an academic exercise, but I wonder what other prop, stock images, that could be added that would create other equally pleasing images and stories. |

Very nice capture Louis. I like the use of the curves in the bridge to draw the viewer into the image. Adding rays to the sun, which you placed so well, creates a strong fixation point. I agree with Gary about partially lightening up the under structure of the bridge. Good work. |

Yes Gary, keeping it simple was my intention. This juxtaposition of colors and shapes easily caught my eye. I liked the "design" of it. The cab driver added a note of reality to this colorful fantasy. Thank you for the feedback & comments. |
