The tranquil beauty of this scene is created by the soft contours of the field and subtle contrasts. The field and sky blend together. While the strength of this image is that it has no single subject, for some it might also challenge their conventional sense of composition, for example, they might like a focal subject added such as a small tree placed in the left-central part of the image. |

Gary, this image is provocative. It is amazing what you have done to the colorize the trees and sky, but I particularly like the flooded the foreground. So, you used a filter to add and blend in a very believable flood. Good work. My compulsive tidy eye wants the striped lane markers removed to allow the viewer's eye to move more easily into the bridge. |

The fantasy feel of this photograph is enhanced by colorized IR imagery. The castle, white foliage and soft blue sky combine to make a very pleasing image. |

Gary, I agree about the light and time of day. A couple hours later would be less harsh . . . even for a IR image. |

Sumit, this is one of your best images. Highlighting and bringing out the yellows in trees make this compelling image all the better. You selected a day and time after a rain allowing you to capture the mist and fog. We don't talk often enough about weather and the powerful compositions it helps us create. My only comment concerns that tiny structure on the ridge. My eye wants it gone. |

Lou, the steps you took to shift the color of the water from pond green to Caribbean turquoise was understandable; however, some the greens in the trees seem synthetic. Your vantage point provided by the drone hovering above the bridge helps the composition; however, my eye roams around seeking an anchor. . . which, in general is what some landscapes do to a viewer. Using a drone must have been fun. |

Scott, this image welcomes you to do a morning meditation on the shore of Jenny Lake. The 6 sec shutter speed nicely smooths out the water and softens the clouds. The understated pink pastels above the mountains adds to the enchantment of this lovely landscape. |

This image has power. It places the viewer in a location to see the lake, adjoining mountains and the distant mountains. The green tones in the lake are echoed in the distant mountains and sublimely in the clouds. This image tells all of us why we are passionate about landscape photography. Magnificent work. |

Yes Lou, the stream does not add much running counter to the focal point. So, cropping it out and igniting the trees would help. Thanks. |

Bringing out the trees more would help, but I think this image has too much subject matter . . . great for a hiking experience, but not for photographing it. |

I agree, and would also like the river to pick up more reflection from the sky. |

The river in this valley s around not allowing photographers to use it as a leading line. Then there is the grandness of the canyon walls and the details in the rock . . . great only for a geologists to behold. So, while this site has a lot of impact on a hiker, perhaps it is too much to manage for a photographer. Still, I love this place and would return in a heartbeat. |

Gary, the position you took to shoot this image allowed you to capture the river, falls and trestle. So many photographers get too close to the falls. As with the others, I admire your meticulous post processing skills. One very minor suggestion: My eye wants the railroad trestle to standout more, perhaps by selecting it then darkening it, or burning it in a bit? |
