Gary, I think you accomplished what you intended. Melanie's adjustments give it aninteresting 1950s feel. I like how you darkened the sky in the middle behind the palms, which attracted the eye to the middle of the composition |

Jack, the artist in you comes out when the subject is backlightied. This image is a good example. Trees are a challenge to feature as a portrait, they can be too complex. What are your thoughts? |

Hi Palli,
You have reintroduced us to what is fun about IR photography: Using it to creatively render unexpected interesting images. Creating a moonlight effect is a breakthrough. With this particular image does the luminosity of the fence dial in or dial out the illusion? |

Emil, I instantly liked this image. Roads and paths draw the viewer into the image. You made this effect stronger through the use of highlights. This image is visually graceful. Lovely. |

Hi Ernie,
Doors are a great subject for photography, especially IR photography. So, this image is quite interesting. I agree with the comments of others, but suggest cropping the bottom a little and adding a bit more sky. Would the image be even more interesting if the door was less in the middle? |

Melanie, I have always struggled with the decision to add foreground to a recognizable subject. I like how you added more, not less, and used the tree as a frame. Rules about making an image too complex can tax the interest value of an image, in my opinion. |

Melanie & Jack, the blues look better desaturated a bit. And many thanks again for encouraging this novice IR photographer.
I may be a slow responding and commenting. I will be in South Africa (Melanie's home country) for several days. But when the WiFi is strong enough, I will pitch in. |

Trey, what a resplendent capture of gorgeous lighting. The color of Fall leaves is a common subject somewhat easy to capture; however, you saw this "god lighting" and arrested it. Nice work. |

In our camera club we had an extended discussion on the risks and benefits of photographing iconic sites. Scott, you must have welcomed the opportunity to be there, but also felt the weight of other noteworthy images. But this is your image. Take or leave our supportive comments. |

I like the image as is. However, if the eye is to be drawn more to the Falls, perhaps the highlights under the tree should be dampened a little? |

Photographing great mountains in a clear pure lake early in the morning is a spiritual experience for me, so I love this image. However, Gary's suggestion might make it better. He is a post-processing artist . . .but in my opinion the graceful colors he added to the sky and masterly added to the reflection could be softer and more subtle. |

Spending a good deal of my life in Pittsburgh, I like this image. The blue vehicle you added gives good contrast. Keeping the perspective straight is a challenge. You nailed it. One formative comment: Did you want to have the sky rendered colorless? Would some wispy clouds in a pale blue sky add or subtract to what you had in mind? |

I agree with your comments. I also feel there is too much foreground. I will cite you if I share or publish a revision.
I may be a bit slow responding and commenting this month. I am in South Africa at the moment. WiFi is irregular and we are 9 hours ahead of EST |
