Hi Adi, I actually like the effect of the wide angle lens. The distortion does give the impression of being on the top of the world. That combined with the lovely sky and the colorful tents makes this one a winner to me! |

Tracy, I really like your image, it is quite compelling. I do agree with the others that it looks a little flat, which can be easily fixed. When I visited the Grand Canyon, most of the images I took had a similar problem and needed to be adjusted in some way. If memory serves, I found that a medium dehaze usually took care of the "flat" look, but adjusting the contrast/brightness and saturation could also be useful. |

I really love the cute cottage, Grace. What is growing in the roof? I thought it was moss at first but on closer inspection it is some sort of flower. That's really cool. The fence with the cats on top really rounds out the cuteness factor. I agree with the others that the image could use more contrast and perhaps saturation, the colors and lighting appear a bit flat. The extra out buildings don't bother me and I think add to the charm of the image. |

Just a gorgeous sky! I love the leading of the catwalk to the lighthouse. The lighthouse with its red roof contrasts nicely with the rest of the scene. I also noticed the wavey horizon that Barbara mentioned, right in front of the dip in the catwalk. Any idea what that is. If its a wave, it would be monstrous! |

I really like the silky texture the long exposure gives the water. I like the icicles on the branches to the left which add a nice touch. I'm not really seeing any mist though, only the spray. I wonder what a longer exposure like one or two seconds would look like? |

I really love the golden color of the leaves and the idea of the lighting emphasizing them. I must admit, I do prefer the second image. When I examine the first image, I do see the gradients you created to draw the viewer's eye to the subject, but the effect was not strong enough to overcome the leaves being lost in the background. In the second image the leaves are more pronounced and better separated from the background. |
