This is a really stunning image. The color balance of the blues with the sun and the reflected light in the water really make this image. It's funny Larry got a sense of foreboding from the image, I had the opposite reaction and found it rather soothing. From a technical standpoint you should probably get rid of the lens flare and you do have some haloing around the tree, easily fixed by adjusting your mask(s). |

I like the composition of this image, but the green cast is quite distracting. The photo also appears quite flat to my eye. I think playing around with the lighting would improve that. I'm pretty sure the latest versions of photoshop have a tool the removes a color cast. |

Midday is a terrible time to shoot photos, but sometimes we can't control the time we are at a place, particularly when traveling. I like the second version better then the first, but I agree with Larry the it is quite cluttered in the foreground. I really want to see the vista behind those trees! |

So I agree with the others that last month's image seems more wintery despite with warmer colors. After comparing the two images I think it is because February's image shows more of the frozen water, where this months is more centered around the walkway and lighthouse. The colors definitely stand out more in this months image. In last months image I could not tell that the lighthouse was red. The pastel colors in the sky are also quite pleasing as well as the leading lines to the lighthouse. I would have like to have seen an image taken from last month's vantage point to compare them. |

An amazing image, Larry. The long exposure on the water along with the sunset and sky gives a dreamy otherworldly feel. I do see that the horizon is a bit bowed. Is that a lens distortion or is it just an artifact of the fog? |

Wow! I really like the black and white treatment, and the clouds look fantastic. I like some of the suggestions, particularly adding a second layer with overlay. Another thing you could do is just burn in selection areas of rain to give a sense of columns of rain showers. |
