36 Oct 22 Comment Thanks for all your input. The reason I went with that crop was I needed a 16:9 form factor since I was putting it into a music video I was doing, and I wanted to keep the sky and clouds in the image. Here's a link to it: https://youtu.be/7sT1ZQsWVZk Oct 16th
36 Oct 22 Comment This image appears a little soft to my eye, and a little oversaturated. A more interesting sky would contribute to a WOW factor, unfortunately, that is not really under our control. Also I think Larry's comment about there being no clear subject could be an issue, but I have seen plenty of images with not clear subject that still have a WOW factor. Oct 16th
36 Oct 22 Comment This is a really strong image, Arne! I love the dramatic lighting and against the dark, stormy sky. Just an amazing job on post processing! I have seen the other's comments, and they are helpful, but at the end of the day I would not change a thing. Oct 16th
36 Oct 22 Comment Very nice image! I love the soft shapes made by the stone along with the black and white. I agree with the Diane's cropping suggestion. I'm not sure I would enhance the image any further, it would loose the ambience of softness. Oct 16th
36 Oct 22 Comment Great photo, Larry. I love the approaching storm clouds with the clearly visible bands of rain. Great story too. You really go the extra mile to get an image. I agree with the others that some work could be done on the bright spot of that water reflection, it does draw my eye and seems brighter than the sky itself. My eye also sees what looks like haloing around the trees in the right hand side and background toward the middle. I'm not sure if that's natural or an artifact from opening up the shadows. Oct 16th
