Thanks. Actually, the water texture was done by me with a image of water that I had turned greyscale and overlaid on a solid turquoise layer, which was that masked and give an opacity of 38%. It is a local competition at a club I belong to, the Lancaster Photography Association. |

I love the leading lines that the falls make as well as the fall color! The exposure is just right to give a sense of motion to the water. My only suggestion is to open up the shadows a bit on the foliage in the right to give it a bit more detail. |

Good job eliminating the power pole with photoshop. I agree with Barbara about eliminating distractions, so I would pull out the wires, other poles and branches. The Luminar post processing does give it a very vintage feel. |

I love images of ruins and ghost towns and this one evokes a feeling of desolation, made even more so with the snow. My own feeling is that the black sky detracts from the ruined buildings and vehicles. In addition I might try toning the whole image down with brightness/contrast or exposure. I think that would increase the sense of loneliness that the image evokes. I agree with Barbara that a 16:9 format would be a good choice for cropping. |

This image has a lot of impact. I think I prefer the color version, the B&W loses some of the emotional impact that the color version has. My only problem is the spotlight in the center to the right of "Iron Mike" is distracting and should be toned down a bit. Perhaps you could also brighten up the statue as well, may just by opening up the midtones and maybe the shadows at the base. I think I would leave the sky alone, it has a lot of drama, and warming it might decrease its impact. |

That's a great image Barbara! I do agree with Larry's comment about the branch. The object on the left that Arne was commenting on appears to be some sort of retaining wall and I'm not sure if it should be removed or perhaps lightened a bit so it blends better with the rest of the background. I'm fine with the crop, I would not change it. Great composite work! |
