I really like this image! The rain on the lake breaking up the reflection of the mountains and the colors are breathtaking. The leading line of the water and light to the other side of the lake and the mountain shrouded in mist add a great deal of interest. Well done! |

I like the composition of this image. The stream creates a leading line through the valley to the mountains in the background. I actually think in some ways the original is better than the post processed image. It seems that in opening up the shadows, detail and saturation were lost on the rest of the image, and I think the sky was fine without darkening it. I think you should maybe consider masking just the foreground area you want to open up the shadows, perhaps using a luminosity mask would help. I also would not brighten up the shadows as much as you did. A little more contrast I think makes the image more dramatic. |

I really like the pano format and the human element in the image. It really gives a sense of desolation. The smoothness of the dunes enhances this feeling, so I'm not sure I agree with the comments about the texture in the sand. I wonder if bumping up the contrast would make the image more dramatic, but it is a really good image as is. |

I like this image pretty much as is. I personally would not crop the top, because I think the color of the clouds contrasts really nicely with the bridge and adds a lot if interest to the image. (But, hey, I'm a cloud guy so take that with a grain of salt) As far as the sharpness goes, I do see some noise in the darks, and there is a starburst effect on the lights if you zoom into them, but the image does not look particularly soft to me. It's hard to tell how much is an artifact of reducing the size of the image, the noise could be a result of that. |

I really like the longer exposure - it really captures the motion of the water which contrasts nicely with the sharpness of the clouds in the sky. Really nice image with a lot of impact! |
