Thanks for all your comments. I actually had submitted the same picture without the red filter, but with a slight warming filter to a contest last month. I was just fooling around with it and though I'd give a try with a red filter. Looking at it now, I do think the ground is a little to red. Personally I do like the pink clouds though, although maybe the could be toned down a bit. Here is the version of the image I submitted to the contest. |

I really like the color of the red structure and how it adds additional vibrance on a dreary rainy day. I like how you processed the HDR. I like your crop, it would be a shame to take out part of the tower when you have the whole thing. I agree with Micheal, the sky could use a little more drama, maybe just a bit more contrast. That is a personal preference on my part though, overall this is a great image. |

I really like this picture, but I do agree with Mickeal and Larry that it would be improved by cropping out the vertical lines. Perhaps toning down the Walgreens sign would help too, although what is bothering me is that it is cut in half. Could you include more of the sign? Or perhaps you could crop it before the lettering starts. You could also just remove the white lettering and leave the sign. I am a little confused about one thing, the title is "New Building New York City
", but you said it was taken in Houston. Was that an oversight or am I missing something? Over the image is really good. |

I love the black and white treatment of this image as well as the composition. I was actually there in July, 2019 and took a number of images of the geyser as it erupted. You definitely have to be on your toes to catch it. I like the your treatment almost erases the crowds of people around it, also taking pictures of it. That was a bit problematic when I was there. |

Great image! I love the color and composition as well as the light on the lemons. I actually visited a old Shaker community in Winston-Salem, NC more that 10 years ago and took a lot of pictures back then. |

I really like this image. When I saw it in the thumbnail I though it was monochrome with a sepia cast, but I see it is now color, but very muted. I love the sheen and texture the long exposure created on the water. The piers leaning a little left don't really bother me, the horizon is right on so I would assume the piers really are leaning and it is not just an artifact. Great job! |
