Thanks! The image was taken during my trip to Iceland last July. The town was called Stykkisholmur. It's a very small town, population about 1100. We were told the Fosshotel we stayed at was one of the major employers. Give the small size of the town, it was actually amazing they were able to support a hotel of that size and quality. |

I like the composition, the bridge creates a nice leading line to the mountains. I agree with the others that adding contrast to the sky will give the image more interest. I like Richard's treatment of it. |

Great image! I really like how you composited the three exposures. I agree with the others that the leaves on the lower right are a bit distracting and could be darkened. |

Oops! I forgot to put that in!. The focal length was 18mm and it was shot the stock lens, a Nikkor 18-140mm. I'll have to give overshooting a try. I may actually have some images from the session where a took this where I did what you said inadvertently. This one was probably more between 25-30 degrees. |

I really enjoyed my trip to Iceland last year, there is so much to photograph! This image has a lot of power. I think I would do what Arne suggested. I'm not sure what Lightroom can do, in Photoshop I would probably add a desharp layer masked for the rocks and waves probably at about 40-50% opacity. That would bring out a bit more detail. |

A nice calm image of an early spring afternoon. I have actually been watching a few YouTube videos on luminosity masks myself. I like your results. I do agree with Larry about the log, it does seem magenta on my monitor as well. The original does not seem to have this problem so you my want to manually adjust your mask to exclude it. I will check out the link you provided, thanks! |

This is a really good subject to do in B&W. The buildings disappearing into the clouds and the glow of light in the center give it a ethereal, almost otherworldly feel. The bird adds additional interest in the foreground. I don't think I would change anything. |

Yeah I was wondering about that haze - it does look natural. I really like this image! I want to get try long exposure sky photography myself, I haven't tried it yet and I would like to give it a shot. |

That's an fantastic image and amazing story! The only thing I can see that you might change is the path and hill in the background seem a little hazy. Was there haze, or is that an artifact of post processing. You might want to consider darking it a bit. I don't really have a problem with the path to the left, although it would be interesting to see what it would look like darkened as well. You really did a lot of work to get the image and the results show it! |
