33 May 20 Reply Wow, that's great you were there at that exact moment! May 17th
33 May 20 Reply That's awesome about your wife's reaction! It really is a smell you never forget. And thanks for your comments about the photo. May 17th
33 May 20 Reply Thanks so much, Stanley. That sulfur smell is really unforgettable, isn't it? I hadn't thought about burning out the people on the hill in the distance. I thought they gave a sense of how dark and foggy everything was, but it might make an interesting picture without them as well. Thanks for the suggestion. May 14th
33 May 20 Reply Thanks so much, Bob. That's awesome that you've seen the thermals at Yellowstone. I've yet to do that, but it's on my list of places to see. I was able to capture some small details at the Námafjall Geothermal Area. There were lots of fascinating colors and shapes there. May 14th
33 May 20 Comment Beautiful, intriguing photograph. The way the house peeks through the trees reminds me of something out of a fantasy movie. I like the way Bob has cropped the photo. It makes the house more visible, although not so much that it loses the element of mystery. May 14th
33 May 20 Comment Awesome photograph! I love the bright pink against the darker purple. It works really well together. The purple creates quite a mood, suggesting early morning or early evening on an isolated snowy mountain. May 14th
33 May 20 Comment Beautiful photograph! And how lucky that you took a picture before the barn disappeared! That's a really interesting story. The large gnarly tree and the old weathered barn work really well together and the barrel off to the left adds more interesting detail. Nicely done! May 14th
33 May 20 Comment Beautiful photograph! The colors work well together and the red horse plow nicely reflects the red section of the rainbow. The overcast part of the sky where it appears to be raining contrasts nicely with the more brightly lit part of the scene. You really captured that moment when a storm is moving across an area and a rainbow appears. May 14th
33 May 20 Comment The blue and white colors along with the cloudy sky convey the sense of cold weather. The reflection on the ice is a nice touch. May 14th
33 May 20 Comment The fiery colors in both the sky and rocks works well together, as do the horizontal lines in both the rocks and clouds. It looks like a very scenic spot. May 14th
