Wow! That is so close. The issue with burst mode is it's still a crap shoot if you get the shot but it does improve the odds. Best chance is to practice, practice, practice on the one shot. I like how you cropped it and removed unnecessary context. The colors are natural and the image is sharp. I think you must have been using something around 50mm. You really caught the action but just missed that all important face although that only means it could have been better. It's still a nice action shot. Well done and a great memory. |

My thoughts are with Art. It's a matter of personal taste. If the rules call for more context to fit a category, so be it. |

This image was captured before DeNoise AI. I tended to think of the denoise in Lightroom as a detail killer. DeNoise AI changed that and I regularly shoot at higher ISOs now with the confidence that DeNoise AI will clean it up in post. Thanks to both Art and Gabriele for your suggestions. I like the changes Art made. |

I think context would dictate my preference depending on where it was hung. Without the context...I prefer the color but can think of a lot of places the monochrome would work too. |

I love the abstract nature of this image. I like the complimenting pastels and how the image flows. In my opinion there is sufficient room for a moving/landing bird on the right. I like the diagonals and I think the texture is appropriate for the theme. I think the repeating wing pattern is a perfect frame for the body of the bird. I'd put this on my wall and I think it would do well in a gallery.
