I'm with Art on this one. I particularly like the idea of cropping a bit tighter. It's a very clever composite. To me it shows a wonderful sense of imagination. I think you did a very nice job of getting the perspective correct to match with both images. Here comes a really off-the-wall suggestion: Next time use a book and exposed page that is particularly meaningful to either you or the human subject. I think it would make the composition much more meaningful for either of you, kind of like the image of your daughter's feet you submitted earlier. It means nothing to us but it would be another family treasure. (I said it was off-the-wall.) |

I love the imagination of this image. I have no idea what it is but I don't care. This reminds me of some of the great art you see hanging in really posh offices. To my eye the colors really pop and I think they could compliment almost any interior color scheme. I would love to see a large metal print of this image. |

I love both images and the sharp contrast of colors. Both appear to me to be sharp and I think the composition compliments both. I really like the black background and I think your macro shot is very well done. I believe one aspect of micro/close-up that makes it exciting is the mystery it evokes. My only suggestion would be, if possible, to lighten up the shadows just enough to break out the edges of the darker pistil/stamens. (My 8th grade biology has escaped me.) Congrats on a very nice image. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I like what you did with it. The Cross is on the side of a hill so that was what I was staying true to but this looks good too. I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to needlessly staying true to the general subject. I even shot in the direction of where the Milky Way would have been if not for the moon and clouds. |
