Thank you so much for your work. I can't agree more on your philosophical approach. Everything hinges on what the artist saw and wanted to convey. As artists, we each see art through our eyes and certainly not through the eyes of the viewer. There are so many ways to approach this image and I appreciate everyone's point of view. I really do. I will not always agree but I can't say I've looked at or tackled an image with all options considered and eyes open. I anticipated some of the comments made and the validation of those anticipated comments have helped me grow. FYI: I really liked what you did with my image. |

Thanks Sylvia. Maybe something like this? I have four different variations of this image. I like this one too. |

I took a while to critique because I was really perplexed by this image. I really like it. It shows imagination and creativity. It's just a skyline at night but it still has visual impact. What really perplexed me was the long exposure. I'm wondering if you tried a shorter exposure. Also, I'm impressed you captured stars around many of the points of light. Usually, that calls for higher f/stops and even longer exposures. Anyway, I think you've done what many photographers want. My only recommendation, as demonstrate by Gabriele's post, would be to balance the sky and water by placing the water line in the middle of the image. |

I really like the subtle colors of this image. In my opinion the composition compliments the dual subjects of sand and sea. It's the kind of photograph that would look great on any wall. Makes me want to go to the beach and I ain't a beach lover. Well done. |

What a nice capture. In my opinion the addition of the bee makes this so much more interesting. The colors are bright and your focus appears spot on the bee. I just recently started micro-photography using extension tubes and it's opened up a whole new world. Very nice. |

I really like how you isolated your subject with the dark background and some creative editing. The colors are perfect compliments to each other. The image looks crisp and composition is very nice. I like how you kept just a hint of lily pads along the top for some context.Very nice. |

When I first saw this image I was struck by the colors. The yellow, purple and green, in my opinion, really draw the viewer into the image. To my eye the image is sharp and composition is balanced and appropriate. There is certainly enough going on to satisfy my eyes. I think a little border patrol would be in order. To me the red stalks and the foliage in the upper left are unnecessary and a bit of a distraction. The complimenting green, yellow/orange and purple are more than enough for me. I am a fan of bold natural color so I would brighten the insect, intensify the purple and darken the mostly green background to
highlight your primary subjects. In my opinion, a little cropping would eliminate the border distractions. A very nice image well executed. |
