Absolutely lovely, as always! I love the perfection of the flower and also the ing of the leaf at the bottom. Whatever light colored distraction the others mention doesn't even show to me. Maybe my screens dirty. Anyhow, I'd love a deep sniff of this! |

I would crop a little on the left side, too. The cactus needles are really interesting, and the yellow flowers eye-catching! |

I have never seen one of these creatures before! What an incredible creative force made something like this! And what a great subject! I love the delicate purple markings on the spider that so beautifully blend in with the the color of the flower. I also love the delicate threads of web and bits of "hair" on the flower. Nice little dots on the end of the green leaves. And what an adorable face! Great for you for catching it. I would have liked to see the crab more in focus. Also the the stem and leaves of the flower. I agree a higher f stop would be better, and maybe you could have handled the slower shutter speed with a tripod and cable release if there weren't much wind. |

Nice photo! I like the contrast of the pink with the red flowers and I love the white edges of the pink petunias. I also think it's a really pretty and interesting pot! The inclusion of so much dirt I'm not to sure about, and I find myself studying the black stuff in the lower left of it, which I guess means I find it distracting. As others have noted, the left to upper right composition is nice. And I also find the blistering distracting. Perhaps you could have cloned some of the unblistered part and painted it over. |

I agree that the focus is lacking, and that the white thing is distracting. However, it's a nice composition and crop. Love the ladybug! |

Very eye-catching and interesting. I agree that the composition is great and I really like the placement of the sharp pencil and the fact it's touching part of another one. I also agree that the saturation of the colors is great. I can't quite decide if I like the shiny light reflections off the pencils or not. Couldn't say without seeing one to compare. But overall, a great photo and great work to get it! |

I guess I find myself wondering what it is. It isn't really an abstract, so then I want to identify it. At first I thought TV antenna. The face is kind of foolishness, to my eye. But I do appreciate the black on white of the original.

Very pretty! I agree with the comments about the lighting on the stems. Also the leaves on those stems. I very much like the black background, and in particular the composition-the 3 different heights of the flowers. When I lived in Japan for a few months I started a flower arranging course, but then we got called on to move, and I only got one lesson. However, in that first lesson, they taught us to place the three elements in the composition (or 5 or 7 -- odds) at different heights. It's aesthetically pleasing! |

I see a masked figure, with the masks floating lightly over the strange face! The title suggests the composition of each. What amazing work you are able to do in post-processing, and I am also very impressed with your unbelievable creativity! |

Absolutely fascinating and lovely! You might, when you're planning on taking so many shots (I assume with a tripod and cable release), switch your settings in an order so you cover various ISO's and apertures and lengths of exposures. Then afterwards pick the best to work with in post-processing. I do like Peter's changes, but I like the original too. |

It's a great photo, to start, and I agree it shows the cracks in the rocks well. I like the composition and the demonstration of the lead up and trees before the presidents. I'd never seen that before. Were the trees really orange, or was that the IR? I found it intriguing to study. |
