It's a really old movie I'm talking about. A scientist gets, by mistake, his head put on a fly. I think you can guess the rest!

Fantastic and awful! How did you get this to happen on whatever the green stuff is underneath them? Why do both your recent spiders seem to have 4 eyes?
Great and hard to get photo. Reminds me of the old movie -- The Fly! The end scene. |

Love the side view, the fabulous clarity, and the black background! As for me, I might not have cropped the leaf at the bottom, but I don't know what it looked like. |

So razor sharp it makes me shiver and salivate! Wow. Love what you did to the background. Maybe get rid of the little bud off to the right as distraction? (I haven't a clue how to do this, but I know it can be done . . . .) |

I, too, felt the right stalk should be cropped out. I wouldn't center the bee precisely, by the way -- just a bit off center. I liked the blurring. The second and third bees are fantastic, as well. What a great set of shots--good work! |

I love the blur in the background, and the darkening. I adore the clear drops of rain and the one on the bottom just about to fall off! Nice composition - tho I do agree with Stuart that it would be better to see just a bit more of the tip of the petal on the right. Could you recrop? |

Good job chasing that butterfly and then actually getting the photo. The background is very distracting -- but I like what you've done with the photo. I've heard of horse whisperers, but never a butterfly whisperer. If there were one, it would make the lives of macro photographers easier, as we could make them land just where we choose! |

Thank you so much. I'm copying all the helpful comments and keeping them in a file on my desktop to refer to before I go out shooting again. I'm in the midst of a LR course now, and had signed up for a PS course. Unfortunately Samy's in LA got robbed of all it's computers, so I had to move to an October date in Pasadena. I'm trying to pull it together -- and thanks so much to everyone! |

Very pretty! I marvel at how creative and technically sophisticated you are to have done all you did to accomplish it! |

Lovely! I like the composition just as it is. Will need to try that mistake myself one day! |

I think you did all of the right things to this lovely photo -- not too much, just enough! I was going to say the desaturation and blurring made it very painterly, but having read the other comments I think Wyeth is the right name! |

What a gorgeous, multi-tasked creative effort! I stand in awe of your ability to come up with the idea. I'm blown away by the beauty of what you did with the stacked chairs and the LED flashlight! Great work! |
