Great shot! I like it as it originally was.
I watched the Needle Webinar live, and ordered one of the books, which I just received today. Tried shooting through some flowers, but it wasn't as easy as he made it look, and now I'm planting the flowers in the garden! |

I agree with all the accolades given by others. The composition is perfect, I think. Although the flower is almost perfectly centered, the tilt of it and the stem going off to the left make it just right! |

Fantastic image! The perfection you achieved makes me envious. I have yet to learn how to do what you did with software -- I'm working on it with classes coming up. Wonderful! |

Wow, what a creature! You were brave to stand there and take the photo!
I don't like the reverse of the photo -- to me the spider seems to be looking at us more in the original. However, I do think some of the right can be cropped off. I wouldn't center the spider, though. I think the composition would be better if the creature is a bit off center. |

What a gorgeous creature! I like the "flip" that Dick did so the head is on top (I didn't even realize the other end was the tail). However, I like the brighter colors in your version of it.
I sympathize with your broken arm -- I'm recovering from 7 breaks, 5 in my feet and ankles and 2 in my right shoulder. I have, however, charged my camera battery and hope to get something one of these days for next month. Your photo has inspired me! |

This photo gives me lots of ideas for my own work. I love the angle and compositional placement, also the lighting. The grey background goes nicely with the different shades of green. The photo seems nicely focused to me -- I like the clarity of the little root at the end. Your vegetable is certainly different from the broccoli we have here in the U.S.! |

Very interesting and pretty -- love the gold in the rain coming down the window. Also the breaks in the streams of the rain, and the way it looks like twigs or worms! |

A lovely, artistic shot made from what might be said to be a group of ugly things! I love the textural contrasts -- concrete, plants, iron, footpath. At first I thought the stuff in the window was indoor plants -- but now I can see the "skulls" or whatever that Judith sees. I absolutely agree with your decision to leave the footpath in -- it adds a lot. Are these the actual colors of the bricks and footpath and concrete, or did you "doctor" them? |

Very effective crop! What you cut out was so very mundane, and you picked out just what there was to make into something meaningful! I do seem to note what looks like some pixelation in the clouds, however.
Out of curiosity, did you crop out the pole to the left of the flag, or take it out some other way? Good work! |

What a beautifully glowing and tender tribute! What you have done with color so effectively conveys the emotion. I really admire what you have done with the software! |

Susan-
I, too, love the black and white and the zoom effect. I have no idea what the "zoom" is, but I appreciate the effect it gives. Maybe I can google it! Mental health facilities are pretty sad places, tho they have to be for the safety of all residents. We are about in the 17th century in our knowledge and treatment of mental illness. I like that you took the time to capture the idea! |

I love your water photos! I too like the layering of the splashes through different light, and I think the freezing of water is breathtaking. Nice work! |
